  1. I'm sure all of us remember the sad tragedy of Aaliyah back years ago when she died from an airplane accident. Whenever Professor Cox said we could post stuff pertaining to the class, I thought bout this video and I felt like it fit in perfectly. If you listen to the words they are very emotional and each person in this song that has contributed in the video shared some special relationship/connection with her. Making the video it was a tribute to her and her passing. Since she was gone they all miss her, but is hard to get over and get past so easily. If you notice at the end when DMX speaks he tells her he loves her and misses her. Just like Prof. Cox stated they can hear everything whether they are on Earth or above us. Talking to them is a good way to stay connected to people that have left our lives and created special and memorable footprints in our lives just like Aaliyah left in their lives. If anyone knew her as an artist and was fond of her I'm sure you know what I mean as well. Hope you enjoy the video !

  2. Such a good video choice. I remember crying when this was first released. I love how there are so many artists in the video paying their respects and missing such a great asset to the music industry.

  3. Back when Aaliyah was at the top of her career was when the music industry was actually making music! I don't know what is going on that any idiot is getting a record deal, milking their one hit wonders for whatever they can and falling off the map! Aaliyah was a true artist and I miss hearing her voice on the radio or seeing her videos on T.V. I basically grew up listening to her and it was such a tragedy that she was so young but at least she got to live her dream!

  4. I agree, she was truly an inspiration and illuminated the meaning of real talent. I love hearing her songs still being played on the radio every now and then. It is comforting to know that even though she is not here anymore, her music is living on. I believe that is extremely important.
