  1. This story is truly amazing. I wonder to myself what affect the cancer had on Jill throughout her life. I know only what I read through the article, and have nothing to compare otherwise. This article brings me again to the question "would you want to know the date of your death?". I wonder how the outcome of Jill's 3 goals in life would be, had she not been diagnosed with cancer? I can only speculate, but all that I really know is that if I were in Jill's position I could only hope to perform and overcome as much as she did.

  2. I really was moved by this story. For some reason the whole time I was reading it I thought that she was going to make it. Then as the end paragraph was showing how the team was going to lose I realized that Jill would die. I guess I wasn't expecting that because the description of the article was about a girl's battle with cancer. For some reason I thought this set the tone that she was going to survive. But I guess the whole point of the article was to show that she indeed did win. She did what she wanted and try to accomplish her goals. She never allowed the cancer to consume her life. This was the biggest feat of all and I think that her teammates and all the people that knew this realized this.
